Lost foam casting equipment is an essential component of the modern foundry, enabling the production of complex and intricate metal parts with high precision and efficiency. The process of lost foam casting involves creating a foam model of the desired part, coating it with a refractory material, and then pouring molten metal into the mold to replace the foam model. This results in a near-net shape casting with minimal need for secondary machining or finishing.

The vibrating table is used to ensure that the molding sand fills all positions of the foam model. As the foam model is placed in the sand box, the vibrating table is activated to create a uniform and compacted layer of sand around the model. This vibration process is essential for achieving a high-quality mold with precise details and dimensions, as it helps to eliminate air pockets and ensure that the sand fully encapsulates the foam model.

In conjunction with the vibrating table, the rain shower feeder is employed to add bottom sand to the sand box. This process begins with the sand box being positioned under the sand storage hopper, ready to receive the bottom sand. The rain shower feeder evenly adds sand to the bottom of the sand box through spraying, the thickness and uniformity of the bottom sand are crucial for the subsequent shaping process.

After the bottom sand is added, the model cluster is put into the sand box, the rain sand adder continues to dispense sand until the mold reaches the flat gate position, ensuring that the entire foam model is fully surrounded by the molding sand. Throughout this process, the vibration table continues to operate, ensuring that the sand is evenly distributed and compacted around the foam model.

After the sand addition and vibration process is completed, the final steps of coating and surface sand operations are carried out to complete the molding. The coating process involves applying a refractory material to the mold surface, which helps to enhance the heat resistance and surface finish of the mold. Additionally, surface sand operations may be performed to further refine the mold surface and ensure its readiness for the casting process.

After vibration completed, adding sand to the surface and cover plastic films, finish modeling.

In conclusion, vibration moulding and its associated equipment, including the vibrating table and rain shower feeder, play a critical role in the lost foam casting process. These components are essential for achieving precise and high-quality molds that are capable of producing complex metal parts with exceptional accuracy and detail. By utilizing advanced lost foam casting equipment, foundries can enhance their capabilities and offer superior casting solutions to meet the demands of modern manufacturing.
